At BlastCAD, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website and use our 3D blast design software. By using BlastCAD, you consent to the practices described below.
Personal Data: We may collect personally identifiable information, such as your name and email address, when you register for an account. We do not require or store sensitive payment information directly on our servers; all payments, where applicable, are processed securely via our payment partners.
Project Data: As a cloud-based CAD platform, we process the drill data, CAD files, and project configurations you upload (.csv, .str, .dtm, .dxf, .dug, etc.) to render your 3D models and run blast analytics. Your project data remains yours — we do not sell it, share it, or use it to train models.
Usage Data: We collect diagnostic and usage information, such as browser type, operating system, device type, and feature interaction metrics, to improve our software's performance and fix bugs.
BlastCAD uses essential cookies and browser local storage strictly to keep you signed in and to preserve your in-progress designs. Notably, the application auto-saves your work locally via IndexedDB so that your designs can be recovered even after a browser crash. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
We rely on a small number of trusted third-party providers to operate the service — for example, cloud hosting and infrastructure, and a form-handling service for messages sent through our contact page. These providers only process the data needed to perform their function and are bound by their own privacy and security obligations.
We retain your account and project data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete a project, it is removed from active systems promptly and purged from backups in the normal backup rotation cycle. You may request deletion of your entire account at any time (see Section 7).
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information and project data. Passwords are securely hashed using bcrypt, data is encrypted in transit using TLS, and we offer Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) via TOTP to protect the integrity of your account.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
If you have questions or comments about this Privacy Policy, please contact us via the Contact page or email [email protected].
